Stephen F. O’Neill has been involved in an active civil trial practice since his admission to the bar in 1974. Areas of specialization include catastrophic injury, construction defect litigation, public entity liability, and employment issues. His long experience representing insureds in the general liability and automobile liability context has exposed him to a broad spectrum of litigation, including cases involving issues arising from agriculture, to recreational maritime. 

Mr. O’Neill has served on the Board of Directors of the Northern California Association of Defense Counsel and has been the Chair of the Litigation Section of the Sonoma County Bar Association. He has served as a pro-tem settlement conference judge in Sonoma County Superior Court, and has mediated numerous cases privately for parties in Alameda, San Francisco, Marin and Sonoma counties. He is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA), which restricts its membership to lawyers with extensive trial experience and superior reputations for competence, civility, and integrity.
